                                                                                                                                                                   REDWOODS & GERANIUMS DISTRACTIONS DISTRACTIONS are those pesky little things that try to divert our attention away from what is right in front of us. There is so much going on in our lives, our health, our happiness our work that it is hard to stay FOCUSED and alert. So naturally we all seek DISTRACTIONS to keep us entertained, unconscious, if you will, and functioning at a reasonable pace. There are good DISTRACTIONS and there are not so good (for us) DISTRACTIONS. I seem to have a few DISTRACTIONS in my life. I guess you'd call them DISTRACTIONS, they are activities I pursue so I'm inspired, entertained, challenged, productive and just feel good. I must say I am getting quite good at DISCIPLINING myself to do the things that need getting done  first, before I get carried away with some project or entertainment.

                                                                                      IMAGINATION Looking at this photo of the mama feeding her baby so tenderly and lovingly makes me wonder how does she know so clearly what to do? Also the beauty and the intricacy of the nest? I can only use my IMAGINATION, to be sure! Using my IMAGINATION is one of the most satisfying things I do with my time and my mind. I feel gifted to be able to conjure up in my IMAGINATION many different beautiful and useful objects and works of art, whether it is painting, designing my home, writing, houseplants, even reading. Also anything that will make my life more comfortable. That means letting go of unwanted things, as well. I love to observe NATURE, trees for example, with all the twists and turns of branches and trunks, the multi layers of mountains and canyons with the markings of eons ago doing their handiwork.
