BLUE SKY/LUPINS FRAMING I'm am suddenly aware of the word FRAMING! There are so many different uses for the word, FRAMING  that describe or illustrate a very important feature in our everyday world. When I think of FRAMING, I think of FRAMING a picture, FRAMES for eye glasses, FRAMING a garden bed, a bed FRAME, FRAME of mind, the attitude and thinking about myself and how I feel about others, FRAMING a view, very important in the gardening world. On and on . . . There is a FRAME, so to speak, of our lives, as well, a sort of MAP or GUIDE to where we are going and where we want  to 'be'. Without a FRAME for a house or building there is no STRUCTURE or stability for it to be safe and usable. I very much want to feel I'm in a SAFE space! I'm the kind of person that thrives on STRUCTURE and a FRAME from which to navigate. Once I experience that I am safe, then I can feel FREE and CREATE

BERRIES GRATITUDE Here we are approaching the big day of THANKSGIVING, once again. It is a tradition in America that this day was celebrated by the Indians and the settlers of early America in order to demonstrate the ABUNDANCE of the crops they enjoyed during the year. The Indians taught the settlers how to plant and cultivate food so that they could live and thrive in this 'new land'. I love this story and the concept of teaching, learning, producing results that comes with opening to NEW BEGINNINGS. It is a marvel to me that people were so brave to start new lives in a very foreign and new country with all it's differences and hardships they experienced. Such COURAGE AND TENACITY they showed and PERSEVERANCE was the name of the game. We can all be GRATEFUL for that because they paved the way and we have come such a marvelously long way since then. One of the aspects of GRATITUDE I

CROSS VINE UNPLUGGED      I Love learning new TRICKS for making life work a little more smoothly and successfully! Someone told me that when my computer or my phone acts up and won't respond to simply UNPLUG the cord from the source, and let it sit for few seconds or minutes 'off.' I also discovered doing that with my humidifier when it won't humidify . It is such a n easy solution and it works! It's always wise to follow these strategies whenever  I feel overwhelmed, perplexed or confused. i just stop  doing what I'm doing and rest, read, listen to music, do a puzzle or walk. I'm UNPLUGGED from the ' tie'  I feel at the moment. The more I ignore this little trick, the more frustrated I become.  It is a 'way to peace' for me to get more balanced.  It's so easy to push and try to force  a situation. It virtually always leads to more frustration and sometimes even breaking something. It doesn't work! It's like trying to shove a roun

BEAUTY BERRY TRANSFORMATION Ah! At last AUTUMN is APPROACHING, with it's chilly days and nights, it's CHANGE in temperature, and of course Daylight Savings is here once again. That CHANGE always knocks me back a bit, I'm disoriented for a few days. CHANGING my clocks back is like a ritual to me. I'm remembering the CHANGE from winter into spring and then it becomes hot all  of a sudden to me. This is merely an OBSERVATION. It makes me APPRECIATE the CHANGES and find the very best of each one. I love the CHANGES that come in NATURE, especially. The colors, textures, fragrances, looks of so many things, in particular some of the trees around. I watch for the Spruce trees by Gin Lake that are very green then turn a yellowish green to copper color! It is so magnificent to watch this TRANSFORMATION  every AUTUMN. TRANSFORMATION is really what it is because the tree is basically  the same tr
