DUTCHMAN'S PIPE                                                             PRIORITIZE ORGANIZE YOUR LIFE #3 When we began this class, ORGANIZE YOUR LIFE, we might have been thinking that it was all about what to do with our extra belongings, our stuff.   That is partly true but I’m very clear that it is much more than that.   I have been organizing for many years besides doing it for others for a living.   I have become aware that taking CARE of our ‘stuff’ really is about taking care of OURSELF! Taking care of our BODY, our MIND and our SPIRIT. Since moving to the VILLAGE, I have learned more about myself than ever before. I have learned to be more CONSCIOUS, OPEN, DISCIPLINED, PERSISTENT, and GRATEFUL because of the ease and enjoyment I feel living in a beautiful, efficient and well-maintained environment. DUCKS LAKE   As I walked around the Lake at Lake House, a woman on the path mentioned to me she hadn’t seen any baby ducks on ‘our’ Lake. I realized I hadn’t either and was eager to see some ‘babies’. I sat down to enjoy the fountain and the DUCKS that were wandering around. I saw 2 or 3 ducks fly up into the oak trees. It sounds like the name of a children’s story, “A Duck in the Oak Tree.” I noticed two ducks swimming towards the shore and watched them waddle out of the water and come up on shore. It was a study in duck-watching. They looked like a ‘mama and papa’. I was sure it was a couple, one smaller white and black and the other larger black and white, with these cute little red masks over their face. They stood stark still for several minutes looking out over the lake, especially the one I thought was the female. She didn’t even turn her head! They were completely oblivious to me. I also noticed how the two ducks were with each other. The male was particular

INTEGRITY SUNSET INTEGRIY is one of my most favorite words because it shows up in so many areas of (my) life. It is a glaring reminder to me if I have dealt with something with TRUTH, HONESTY and INEGRITY. It also shows up when I see it ( or the lack thereof) in someone else that affects me very deeply. There are various levels of INTEGRITY to be sure but the most significant is the INTEGRITY we have with ourselves. When we give our WORD to someone, it is a AGGREEMENT, talk about someone in a disparaging way, make stories up, cheat on some very small issue, not return something borrowed, not re-pay a debt, or downright lie and shirk our RESPONSIBILITIES. AHHH, I have an issue with any of these infractions. Also, if you can’t return, restore, whatever, COMMUNICATE with the person and make a new AGREEMENT when you can make good on your WORD. It can cause an upset when it happens to me but when it happens to a loved one, it is 10 times worse for me to deal with. I se

MY BACK YARD EVENTFUL This has been a very eventful week for me, doing what I love! I have started a three-week class called ORGANIZE YOUR LIFE for residents at the VILLAGE. We meet every other week to share and discuss ways that people here, whether new residents or recent ‘move ins’ can ACCEPT, RE-ADJUST, RE-CREATE AND SETTLE in to their new environment. The residents were to sign up for the series of 3 classes. I had no idea how many people signed up, I guessed between 8 and 10. As the class got underway, 25 people showed up and unfortunately 2 people could not come in because of lack of space! What a surprise! They will come next week when the second class will continue. It was indeed EVENTFUL for me as well as all participants. I have never experienced that in any classes I have taught. Quite exciting! Residents who came were quite intrigued and curious about what I had to say and I might add, how similar their situations are. My INTENTION is to support people t
