2 WHISTLING DUCKS

CURIOSITY

I think it is one of the best characteristics a person can have is to be CURIOUS! I love being CURIOUS about a great many things; mostly obvious things like plants, nature, colors, some about how somethings work, although not too mechanical or technical. The world is a fascinating place with all kinds of oddities and givens. I NOTICE that I seem to be drawn to archeological digs and artifacts. Maybe I was 'there' at some time.

So, speaking of 'digs' or DISCOVERIES, have you found your way into  seeking out some of your 'treasures' in your home? I'm wondering how that is going for you and if you are finding it a challenge as well as a SATISFACTION to be sorting through your belongings? I'm sure it is a mixture of both as well as SURPRISES coming across treasures you forgot you had. If you have not begun your quest, do you wonder what you are missing? You are missing because you haven't budged from where you are.

I know it is daunting but if you start somewhere, it does move along more easily.

Here are some guidelines to what to do next:

Start with your bathroom. It is much easier because we're not so ATTACHED to keeping extras. Start with one drawer. Empty the drawer completely! Wipe out the inside and outside of drawer. If you have any containers you want to put in the drawer to hold items, clean these as well. Then, aha! Return ONLY the items you USE and NEED. Toss the rest. These items are not reusable.

Continue on with all the drawers, then begin with the CUPBOARDS, do the same process: Remove items, wipe clean, return what is wanted and needed. Continue till finished! Voila! quite a difference, eh?

Now continue on with your kitchen or den if you  have one. Kitchens can be tedious but take one drawer and cupboard at a time and IT WILL BE FINISHED!It's best to save the living room and bedroom until last BECAUSE we have so many more ATTACHMENTS to items in these rooms. we have belongings in these rooms that are very personal, so it can sometimes feel like a 'part' of us is being removed. Just remember the 'one thing at a time' rule and you'll get through it. I suggest staying with ONE room, each room until it is finished, otherwise there will be that nagging feeling of 'what did I miss? You will feel much more SATISFACTION!

As you proceed you might feel like you are in  a new world! Remember: You are the one or ones who have gathered all these items unto yourself so it is best if you are the one to sort through, keep what you love and use and discard the rest, either give away or toss.

As you proceed, remember that YOU are in charge of your belongings. You decide how you want to live. BE CURIOUS about what you will find in your treasure trove. Usually people find real treasures and surprises! It's great fun!

Be childlike and CURIOUS

When beginning a new

ADVENTURE!

BLESSINGS
